BY-LAWS
MEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION

ARTICLE 1
The name of this association shall be the Charlie Vettiner Men’s Golf Association (hereinafter referred to as “CVMGA.”

ARTICLE 2
Section 1:  The objectives and purposes of this organization are to promote, foster, regulate, and develop and conduct activities among the members of the CVMGA as follows:
a. To hold weekly golf events
b. To hold regularly scheduled golf tournaments throughout the year.
c. To establish and maintain handicaps, according to the Rules of the United States Golf Association and the Kentucky Professional Golf Association.
d. To cooperate and comply with the Rules and Regulations of the United States Golf Association, except where local rules prevail.
e. To develop among the members a knowledge and appreciation of the rules, traditions, and etiquette of golf.
Section 2: All activities of the CVMGA shall be carried on without financial benefit to its members, officers, none of whom shall be paid for their service to the CVMGA.
Section 3: The CVMGA shall be a non-profit organization.  All funds received by the CVMGA from all activities or dues shall be used solely for the purposes set forth in these By-Laws.
ARTICLE 3- MEMBERSHIP
Section 1: Membership in the CVMG is mandatory for all male members in good standing who are 18 years of age or older.  This membership requirement may be appealed to the CVMGA Board, which will consider and rule on all waivers of the membership requirement.
Section 2: Membership in the CVMGA is required to participate in any CVMGA event.  All CVMGA events will be governed by the CVMGA, and shall be determined by the Board no later than March 1st of every succeeding year.
